Need help with find location for Camping, Canoeing, Hiking for 4 days in OHIO or near states?

camping in ohio
Young_woman asked:

There are 4 of us. We want to go camping in the beginning of August. The perfect place would be for us something on the bank of a river or a lake. We were thinking canoeing for a while then camp, spend the night. On the next day canoeing again, move to another location etc. Plus it wouldn’t be bad if it were not far from civilization so we could get water but it should far from everything so we could FEEL THE UNITY with nature. That’s what we are looking for. Can anybody help with an advice?

The state of Ohio should have a website that can link you to campgrounds or a visitors type guide for vacationing.

    Have fun!

Check out the Hocking Hills in central Ohio. Around Logan and Athens. I grew up there and there are some great caves and rivers for caonoeing as well as some awesome camping. Mail me for some specifics.

Try Salt Fork, it’s in southern Ohio, off Rt. 77. I stayed there a few years ago, and it’s beautiful.

up here in laurelton, pa we have excellent places for canoeing! Penns Creek is wonderful! We have a camp ground and in the beggining of August we even have a fair goin on! So come on up and enjoy the heavenly pleasures of Penns Creek and the forest that completly alines the creek(except a few houses here and there)

So come up to central PA! Laurelton-Weikert area!

One of the biggest creeks/rivers on PA
