Tell me where I can find secluded Camping in Southwest Ohio?
Hi,
My husband and I want to leave in the morning and go camping somewhere in the middle of nowhere. We don’t want a frilly campground with a lot of activity and kids running around. We don’t want to stay anywhere that has a bunch of camper trailers all over either.
We want something for secluded tent camping only by a lake or river or with a lot of trees or both. It doesn’t even have to be a campground. Federal land is fine, we can make do without a toilet.
We live in between Dayton and Cincinnati in Butler county. Indiana is not a far drive so it works too.
We camp a lot just usually not around here but with gas how it is we don’t want to drive far for just a couple days.

Hoosier National Forest is probably the closest remote camping to you
Wayne National Forest is in Ohio but I am not sure how far away it is……….look on a map to see which is closer
